Needle bed in the form of Baba Yaga
I love all kinds of needle cases, especially when they are made in the form of a toy or an interior item. We will make a needle bar from a cut-off pepsicol 0.5 l bottle.Cut the part of the top of a bottle with a knife. It will be a torso with the head.We fill the inside with a crumpled newspaper. This is done to ensure that our Baba Yaga is not deformed when she takes it in her hand.Put on a sheet of a synthetic pad or batting. We select the size of the material so that later when wrapping a bottle around it, it can be tied with a thread at the base of the neck.We wrap with synthetic winterizer our bottle and set. We straighten the material so that the surface is round and smooth.Do the same with white cloth. The choice of fabric is not critical if you then use a non-translucent fabric for the head.We unscrew the ends of the fabric and add a synthetic winterizer to the neck, securing it with threads.Fill the ends of the fabric inside the bottle and fasten it with threads if they do not stick by themselves. We cut and sew the canvas for the dress and apron. Although it is Baba Yaga, you can still decorate her attire with something.Since we make a needle bed, we will need a pad into which we can stick needles. We recall that this character has a hump, and we will use it as a cushion for needles. Therefore, we cut out a polygon with slightly inclined edges, and at the dress we build out a back seam.We connect the hump in the short section between the inclined sides, fill it with padding polyester and sew on the machine in the center seam on the dress. We put on a dress with thread.
We put it on the workpiece, tighten the thread around the neck and fasten it. We do the same with the apron.Cut out the flap for the head and hands.Starting shape the face. At first we throw fabric on the head on the center.Making the folds to form the face and neck. We twist the thread on the neck.We form hands. We tie the ends with a beautiful thick thread, we cut the tips straight. Everything else is turned inside and fixed with threads so that nothing falls out during operation. This is what we should have at this stage.Without a hooked nose Baba-yaga - not Baba-yaga! To make it, cut a small piece of thin wire and cut a fabric 2 times longer on an oblique thread.Twist the fabric in half, wire it from one end and bend it with pliers to hold it. And then wrap the wire around the tape and fix it at the end.Sew the nose on the crown, and glue the tip to hold it with threads. While the glue on the nose dries, prepare yarn for hair. I used swirling tow.I disassembled it into fibers, and from a pair of ropes I made a broom blank.Hair sewn with threads to the top, released forward. Made a broom from the twisted blank, put the shaft on the glue inside the bundle and pressed it from all sides.Wore a kerchief on her head. That's the kind of beauty we have! And immediately into action! Needles already in place!
