Make Sweet Red Wine - With Bread Yeast?
Yes, You Can Make Wine Using Your Instant Pot
Instant Pots are great for doing everything from cooking a chicken in 25 minutes to baking a cheesecake to losing a ton of weight.
But did you know you can also make wine in an Instant Pot?
After David Murphy, a food blogger and recipe developer from New Jersey, picked up a 6-quart DUO Plus Instant Pot a few months back he came across a meme that joked about turning grapes into wine using a crockpot.

When Murphy couldn't find an existing recipe to do just that, he decided to take matters into his own hands and starting asking an Instant Pot Facebook group for the best way to figure out this conundrum.
"Then, my a-ha moment happened," Murphy told Munchies. "The Instant Pot has a Yogurt function, and you can use less heat. Before you knew it, I was shopping on Amazon and running to the store to grab juice and to test out my theory... and it worked!"
By taking a 64-ounce bottle of Welch's Grape Juice, a cup of sugar and a packet of Lalvin Red Wine Yeast (plus a few other tools, which he details on his blog), Murphy produced a "palatable" wine that he says tastes like a Merlot with hints of dark cherries and raw chocolate. But don't expect anything too fancy out of this Welch's into wine hack. Murphy says it's similar to "an extremely pleasant table wine" that would cost about -12 at a store.
The other catch? There's nothing instant about making wine in an Instant Pot. The entire process is so complicated and time-consuming it takes 48 hours to make the wine and then it needs to be stored in a cool, dark place for at least another week.
